About the Journal

Economia Marche Journal of Applied Economics is a scientific journal founded in 1975 by Fondazione Aristide Merloni.

Born as a series of monographic issues on the economy of the Marche region (Italy), Economia Marche - Journal of Applied Economics quickly established itself as a reference point for the scientific and policy debate about local development. Since the early Eighties, the Journal started as a regular journal, focusing on the economic development of the so-called "third Italy", which was characterized by the presence of specialized clusters of small firms. The Journal gradually broadened its horizons to encompass issues in regional and industrial economics, always retaining the distinctive features of a research outlet for studies in applied economics. Since 2011 the Journal has been published in open access mode. It collects contributions on topics of regional economics, industrial economics, management and entrepreneurship.
